Visitors of IFM's expo stand at HMI were facing an interactive MultiTouch Counter with integrated Touchscreen and innovative Object Recognition Software.
Videos/Photos Background InfoVisitors of IFM's expo stand at Hannover Messe (HMI) were facing an interactive counter with a two metres long integrated multitouch display. The unit could recognize product samples in shape of handy acrylic stands, which to excitement of visitors presented further digital information when placed on the display .
It is the second time in a row that the automation specialist IFM relied on interactive multitouch technology by eyefactive for their display at the Hannover Messe HMI. The object recognition is implemented by eyefactive's very own multitag object recognition technology: Similar to the barcode system here it is small labels which are being recognized by cameras. This technology enables linking of physical objects to digital content in realtime.
After positioning a labelled product on the touchscreen the respective digital information was displayed. The visitors could navigate the content with their fingers, for instance flicking through images of products or playing videos.
